Members get exclusive access to Certified Organic fruits, vegetables, herbs, and nonGMO pastured meats from our farm in Allegheny County. We grow the food with methods which maximize the nutritional density, giving our customers the 'highest octane fuel' for their bodies.
We will do our absolute best to make sure that you receive, at the very least, your average weekly dollar value, but aim to make sure that, by the end of the growing season, you’ll have received double your dollar value. A Basic Share averages about 15 lb. per week
Customers can choose to pickup the CSA boxes at the Farm or at one of our convenient Farmers Markets. We encourage CSA Subscribers to pickup at the farm so that they can see where the food is being sourced from and partake in the fun events we have throughout the year. Farm events include Pizza on last Wednesday of each month, samples regularly, weekly connections to the farmers for produce information, recipes, tips and tricks and great face to face conversations about how the farm is doing!
Few other Farms around Pittsburgh offer this deep of a connection to the food on your plate.

For nearly 30 years, Blackberry Meadows Farm has been producing Certified Organic and Verified nonGMO foods for our neighbors and community. In return, the oldest (and longest running) active CSA program in the region has been keeping the farm in business by assuming the fix-cost risks of our farming operation... Exactly what a true CSA program was meant to achieve.
In return, we add new programs and amenities annually to become MORE inclusive of our community in the farm operations. From customers to field workers, our members and guests are welcome to immerse themselves in everything it means to be a farmer and grow food in Western Pennsylvania.
Since 2018, our CSA members and customers are invited to join us at the farm house kitchen every week to pick up vegetable shares and shop our hyperlocal farm store. Members can use our kitchen to chop, roast, blanch, freeze and taste your harvest with the farmers and the other members. Enjoy being part of a true farm community: elbow-to-elbow!
Our farm is 25 minutes from Pittsburgh, and only 15 minutes from the Highland Park Bridge! Come out to the country without leaving Allegheny County for a breath of fresh air and face to face conversations. We hope all our members will stick around to enjoy the farm that you generously continue to support.
There’s also a playground, farm animals, open spaces, working farm tools and the vegetable fields all within a short walk!
Take time to relish what it means to be an integral part of cultivating community.
