Castle Blood
Looking for Pittsburgh Halloween fun?
Prepare yourself for an adventure in Castle Blood, Pittsburgh’s most unique haunted house and Pennsylvania’s premier theatrical haunted attraction.
Housed in a historic 100-year-old funeral home Castle Blood has been delighting crowds for more than 20 years with its famous Haunted Adventure Tour.
The tour features a game that changes yearly, always with new game challenges that bring back enthusiastic guests again and again. American Airlines Magazine described a visit to Castle Blood as “playing Clue in the Addams Family house.”
With a rotating cast of characters, no two visits are exactly the same. You may be helped on your quest by an elegant vampire, a beautiful spirit, wacky witch or mad scientist, but you may just as easily be hampered by a menacing monster, a vengeful vampire, undead bride, wayward werewolf or hungry ghoul. Each night the household staff attempts to keep the “mortal guests” in one piece by order of the masters, but things do tend to go awry.
We invite you to join us for a “Classic American Halloween: Halloween The Way It Ought To Be!”
October Hours
In October the castle ticket booth opens at 7 p.m. for evening tours and closes at 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 9 p.m. Sundays. The attraction continues operating until all groups have finished the tour.
Families
Many older children enjoy our regular evening adventure tour and we welcome them as castle guests, however, in recognition that evening tours of the castle may be too intense for our younger monster fans, we offer special Daylight Tour Events perfect for family time with small children!
Our special daytime, No-Scare Matinee Tours take place during the day the last two Sundays of October. Families still play the Quest for the Talisman Game but children will also receive treats from our friendly castle hosts as they trick-or-treat during their adventure.
With over 25 years of serving family fun, Castle Blood welcomes generations of happy monster fans.
